Steps for Installing OEM Agent on Servers

Prerequisites:

Please check the connectivity between Servers and the server on which Agent needs to be installed

·         Connections from OMS are allowed on Server on which Agent is being Installed on Port Range 8000-8999

·         Use 8990 as Agent Port

·         Create Directory /u01/app/oracle/oem to be used as Agent Home

·         Agent User should be “oem”

Please make sure if Server is EBS than Install agent Using applmgr user and home will be on /u02

·         Agent Registration Password is already present in agent.rsp file.

- Using EMCLI utility Download Agent Binaries according to Platform on a shared Drive say /oemshare
    and Place Agent Image there

Steps to Install Agent

Ø  Login to Target Server as “oem” User

Ø  Mount /oemshare on server

Ø  Go to /oemshare/oem

Ø  Go to Linux or Solaris folder as per OS Version

Ø  Edit agent.rsp file accordingly for hostname and other req fields ,leave all other entries unchanged

Ø Now run the following command to Install agent

./agentDeploy.sh AGENT_BASE_DIR=/u01/app/oracle/oem RESPONSE_FILE=/orashare/oem/Linux/agent.rsp

Here Location of response file is agent.rsp file you have edited in above steps.
